How to choose technical lighting?

An example of outdoor technical lighting (Seaes T67)

Marine outdoor technical lighting is a moisture-proof lighting equipment made of corrosion-resistant materials with a degree of protection not lower than IP56. For the possibility of immersion in water with strong waves deck technical lightings must have a degree of protection of at least IP67 or IP68.

First of all, these lightings provide local illumination of personnel movement paths on the open deck, mooring sites, deck technological equipment, as well as for entrances/exits in the superstructure of the vessel.

Usually, incandescent or fluorescent lamps are installed as a light source in deck lightings, but with the advent of LED light sources, LED deck lightingsare used more often. In addition to exceptional energy efficiency, LED lightings, unlike fluorescent ones, can be operated at negative temperatures (up to minus 60 °C) and, unlike lightings with incandescent lamps, are not afraid of vibration and shock.

In addition, there is no need for periodic replacement and subsequent disposal of burnt-out fluorescent lamps, which reduces the burden on personnel and frees up storage rooms for lightings on the ship.
