What are the floodlights for?

An example of a floodlight (Seaes B200 - production will be available soon)

Floodlights are high–power floodlights, the main purpose of which is to illuminate large spaces on the decks of ships and outboard spaces. Being installed on the deck, they are continuously exposed to the adverse effects of the environment: salty sea water, direct sunlight, temperature changes, as well as mechanical influences. In such harsh operating conditions, the equipment requires exceptional corrosion resistance and increased protection from moisture – at least IP56.

Accordingly, corrosion-resitant materials are used in the production of floodlights: brass, stainless steel and specialized marine aluminum alloy.

With the development of lighting technology, floodlights based on LED modules, characterized by increased energy efficiency and vibration resistance, are becoming popular.

Proper placement of spotlights on the deck increases safety during mooring, loading and unloading, fishing, as well as during evacuation in emergency situations (lighting of landing places in the boat).
